The SpotDot is a versatile color ink and braille printer – beneficial for students with learning disabilities, autism, blind and the low-vision impaired, as well as sighted users who are not skilled in braille to read along.

Color has proven to influence memory, especially in training and learning environments as our visual and sensory experience provides input for memory. Color helps to draw attention and helps with the identification and organization of information.
Often people with learning difficulties will grasp new concepts better with tactile/kinesthetic support. In certain cases, children cannot learn to count without the objects to touch. Visually impaired people need tactile printouts to interpret graphical information.
New state standards are challenging students to understand subject matter more deeply, think more critically, and apply their learning to the real world. To measure these new state standards, educators from Smarter Balanced states worked together to develop new, high-quality assessments in English and math for grades 3–8 and high school. These Smarter Balanced assessments provide more accurate and meaningful information about what students are learning by adapting to each student’s ability, giving teachers and parents better information to help students succeed in school and after.
